Overview
Enjoy the Icelandic countryside from the back of an Icelandic horse, followed by the top natural attractions on the Golden Circle, a trio of extraordinary attractions: Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss Waterfall and Geysir Geothermal area - all visually stunning and storied sights in their own right.
We begin our adventure on the back of an Icelandic horse, the same breed ridden by the original settlers of the country. The Icelandic horse is known for its loyalty, stamina, and gentle nature ideal companies while exploring the idyllic hills of Laxnes just outside Reykjavík.
From there, the tour heads to the National Park Þingvellir, with its remarkable geological features. The Icelandic Parliament - Alþingi - was founded on the site in 930 AD, making it the oldest still functioning parliament in the world. The tour will also visit the impressive glacial waterfall Gullfoss, the Geysir geothermal area and Strokkur hot spring. On the return journey, you will travel through beautiful agricultural areas before heading back to Reykjavík.
This tour is by default guided in English on all departures.
