Overview
This route was the old "Royal Path" paved, one of the main routes for the movement of people on Madeira Island.
Moreover, while making this walk you will be taken to Ancient Madeira, as this was a major route that linked the north and south of the island.
Along this trail it possible to see the highest mountains of Madeira, also the superb views over the Nun’s Valley situated in the center of the island, Funchal, Paúl da Serra, Encumeada, Serra de Água and Ribeira Brava.
